Bev and Glen's After Ceremony Wedding Pictures

Last friday my mom and I shot a wedding for one of the cutest little couples ever.
This adorable couple, Bev and Glen, are LDS, and got married at the Salt Lake Temple. We had the honor of taking the pictures of the very first minutes as a married couple. Here are some of my favorites! :}

Today, I felt.... Artsy. :]

Today, i just NEEDED to do something for myself. i needed to express my artistic side. i felt so deprived. Therefore, i did art. :]

First i made some "angry bird" trinkets out of clay; they are each between being dime-sized and being quarter-sized. i will gift them to my lovely fiancé who is a beast at angry birds. ;]

Then I painted my dad a canvas picture of a beach scene. We are huge fans of Myrtle Beach, SC (one of our favorite beach/ vacation spots), so that was my inspiration for "vacation through the window". He is bringing it to work to show it off in his office. :]

Then, because I need something pretty to display over my fireplace mantle in my new apartment I decided I would paint a monochromatic picture of some flowers that I thought would look lovely as a centerpiece/ focal point in the room.

It is a pretty big picture but I love it. :]

Hope you've enjoyed!

Crazyness In Money Form

Sooo i was looking today on a fun but super exspensive website, Anthropology. They have beautiful stuff, but OMG is it so exspensive. Well, needless to say i kinda fell in love with a bedset. you know just for grins i added it to my wedding registry draft, then i realized how much i was asking someone to spend on me for a QUILT, and i felt guilty, so i skidded my typey fingers as fast as i could to target.com to see if i could find a close guilt-free replacement. and low-and-behold. i found one i like even better! :] are you ready for this? here's the difference.

First Option: Nimbus Duvet Cover in Cocoa (yeah, i really do love it.)

Price: Queen,
$228.00

Second Option: Home Kissing Pleat Comforter Set in Latte (also very pretty)
Price: Queen, 89.99

Needless to say i was very happy with myself, so i continued looking for items that might be easily replaced with things that could be bought for much cheaper. :]

Example: Shower curtain from Anthro.
Waves of Ruffles Shower Curtain
Price: 98.00

The Target Equivilent:
Ruffles Shower Curtain
31.99

That is what I call Amazing. :}

Places To Go, Stuff To Do, People To See.

Today I caught myself daydreaming about how nice it would be to be anywhere but where I am now. Not that I don't enjoy the beauty that is surrounding me in the form of the beautiful Utah Mountains, Its just that I want to be somewhere, well… Warm. That's all. I decided rather than wistfully wishing I was somewhere, how about I do one of my favorite things in the entire world and look at pictures of those places..? I decided that would be the best option, so here are some of the places I came up with, (along with the help of my Brides Magazine and its article on great honeymoons spots….)
Here they are!

  1. Bora Bora!

I mean honestly, who could possibly have anything against a place THIS BEAUTIFUL!?

I would love to be here, right now.

  2. Greece!

I have always wanted to go here and see the sun bleached buildings, and eat the amazing, unique Greek food. :]
Not to mention see some really cool historic places, hey, I'm allowed to be a tourist in my vacation fantasy!

  3. Orlando, Fl

Ok, I know, not as sophisticated as the first two, but to this location I am no stranger, I practically grew up in the Disney and Universal studios Parks, (I was born to ride roller coasters, I am convinced of that.) This is where my fiancé and I plan to spend our honeymoon courtesy of my amazing dad and mom who are going to graciously give us their timeshare so that we can have a super luxurious honeymoon suite for close to no money. Parents are the best!

  4. Paris, France

This is an obvious choice for me as I speak almost fluent French, (I took 6 years of it through middle and high school) I made a deal with my dad when I was little that he would take me to Paris if I learned French. Well, here I am, one year out of high school and almost fluent. I think he's waiting for me to remind him. This will be that reminder. ;]

  5. Italy!

I simply LOVE everything Italian. Really I do. Food. Boys. Architecture. Music. The romantic situations that can be achieved in such a place. I would love to go here, to any and all of these places in Italy. I have a certain number of extended family who are Italian and live in Italy, but I have never talked to or met them. (They speak only Italian, and not very good English at all.) I think I was meant to be born here. I am Italian after all…

  6. Antigua!

The final place I am day dreaming about going to at the moment is a beach in Antigua. I want to nap in the shade of a palm tree, while the warm water laps at my feet. I want to splash in play in the crystal clear water and then smother on Aloe Verde 'cause I forgot that I would bake after a full day of sun. ahhh paradise. :]

Well, enough daydreaming for one day, I'd better get back to work as the bulk of my final projects this semester are due this week. :} everyone needs a break now and then right?

Ideas For my Lovely Wedding!

It has been forever since i posted. i know this. i am offically halfway finished with my sophmore year of college (i'm finishing in winter 2012) and it just doesn't seem possible.
Seth and i have decided that we are waiting to get married until i graduate because i currently am having my school paid for my the air force GI bill. if we marry before i finish, then we will have to take out new loans and deal with lots of debt as newly weds. thats not exactly what i want to start a marriage with, so for now we are PLANNING! (which is much fun!)
i love pictures so here are the ideas i have come up with thus far.

This is the inspiration board of my thoughts for what we will do color scheme and accesories-wise.

seth and i! he makes me so happy! :]

The dress that i want! find it here!

Our color scheme, Navy, and Apple Green, with accents that will include creams with touches of browns and whites and blacks.

i LOVE white and green bouquets, i will carry white with green accent flowers, and my lovely ladies will carry green with small white accent flowers. Thanks to theknot.com green flower ideas and advice!

love this for me!

I am planning on making my own cake toper, i work with polymer clay alot ( like these) , so i will love adding this personal touch.

i absolutly love the look of the birdcage veil for the reception, so the plan is to get a long veil for the ceromony and the fun short one for after the ceromony.

Seth and i are looking at different venues that fit our ideas for the southern wedding. this is a picture of Plantation Farms, in Byron GA. i think this is currently our top pic for our ceremony and venue.

I already have a wonderful photgrapher booked for our big day, she is amazing at what she does, and i just love her to pieces! her blog is super inspiring for those planning a wedding. Check Miss Rebecca out! She is just too cute!

well, im sure there will be much more wedding talk to come. i hope you enjoyed my ideas! I would love friendly advice as well! :}

SethAndBrittany are ENGAGED!

once again, im posting this sooooo long after my last post, but with the holidays ending, my lovely Seth coming to visit, and school getting started back up i really havnt been able to find time to post Seth and I's exciting news! Were engaged!
sooooo heres the story.... enjoy!

"Being currently in a long distance relationship, Seth and I cherish every second we have together. One of our favorite things to do when we are together is to try new restaurants and food that we wouldn’t normally try. For New Years Eve we decided we would do something we both know we like, and celebrate being together by dressing up and having a romantic date night. Little did I know that Mr. Seth had bigger plans for the evening. We made our reservations for New Years Eve at my favorite restaurant, the Melting Pot, and anxiously awaited our special night out on the town.

When New Years Eve day come along we all had a great morning of sledding in the mountains with my brother, cousin, parents, and family friends. When we got home we both got ready for our date night and headed to the city. We were both so excited to be dressed up and have time alone that we didn’t even mind the traffic and cold. We got to the restaurant and everything was perfect, the weather even waited to start snowing until we got inside.

We were seated at a cozy, private corner booth near a large picturesque window looking out onto the city. The snow fell gently our entire meal and we both enjoyed our time just to be together. By the dessert course I excused myself to the ladies room while Seth stuck around to order our chocolate if the waiter came back.

When I returned to the table Seth was smiling from ear to ear and said to me “Well, this seems as good a time as ever.” My heart skipped a beat as he pulled a little box out of his pocket. He handed it to me, and inside of it was a small locket with the outside resembling angel’s wings. “Open it up!” he said excitedly, so I did. On the inside of the locket was a picture of us from our last visit together, and on the edges of the angels wings were the small cursive words “Will you marry me?” I was so surprised that I looked up at him to see if I was seeing things, and to my even further surprise he was on his knee at the edge of the booth, holding the prettiest little ring I’d ever seen. Then he took my hand and said, “Brittany Seidel, will you marry me?” Naturally I said “Yes! Of course!”

And the rest is history. Well sort of. And Seth and I couldn’t be happier to be engaged finally!"

and now some pictures!
